About Me

Hi, I'm Vanessa Lerner, a local 4th grade teacher and the founder of Little Lerners Academy. With 5 years of classroom experience and 4 years of private and small group tutoring, I've seen firsthand what helps kids thrive, and what holds them back. After years of watching students return to school in the fall having lost so much of the progress they worked hard for, I knew I had to do something about it. I created Little Lerners Academy to give kids a place where learning doesn't stop when the school year does. My programs are small and intentional, built around real grade-level skills, and designed to feel nothing like the classroom pressure parents and kids are used to. Just small groups, real teaching, and a whole lot of fun.
